Volunteering
Over 70,000 volunteer 'Games Makers' will be needed to ensure that the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are a success. London 2012 Games Makers will be the face of London 2012, with the chance to show what the UK is all about: excellence, passion and positivity. Set against this truly inspirational backdrop they will build new friendships, develop skills and play an integral role at the heart of the largest event ever staged in the UK.
The application window to be a London 2012 volunteer has now passed however there are a number of ways in which you can volunteer in the local area.
The great thing about volunteering is that you can pick and choose what works for you. Whether you have a few hours every day, every week, every month or just a few hours once a year to offer, there is always a volunteer role to suit. Thousands of people already volunteer in the Leicester and Leicestershire, but many more volunteers are needed.
