We currently have 114 pledges, why not add yours? Help us create a lasting legacy from the London 2012 Games, right here in Leicester & Leicestershire. My 2012 pledge is to cover 2012 miles by the means of running, cycling or swimming between 1st September 2011 and the Opening Ceremony on Friday 27th July 2012 . This will mean having to complete a minimum of just over 6 miles a day. I would also like to raise funds for LOROS(the Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering. My target of monies to be raised is £2012 !

Our 2012 pledge is to.knit 144 squares to complete three quilts, or one large
and one smaller quilt. This project has helped to establish this new Knitting
Group which has been inspired by Hinckley Library and supported by Hollycroft
W.I.

My 2012 pledge is to...create a crochet patchwork mini blanket of 48 squares. My inspiration came from seeing a climbing wall on the Green Towers Hinckley Club for young people website. I depicted this image in my blanket as I felt the climber showed real strength and determination to climb to the top of the wall.
