Today the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) is holding a full dress rehearsal to test the operations around the Olympic Torch Relay – presented by Coca-Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung. The rehearsal is taking place on the Leicester to Peterborough stretch of the Relay route and is the culmination of the Olympic Torch Relay test schedule.

Local Authorities have today revealed the streets the Olympic Flame will travel down in Leicester & Leicestershire and the names of the inspirational Torchbearers who will run in our community have also been announced.

Today the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) have confirmed that a full dress rehearsal to test the operations around the Olympic Torch Relay will take place on the Leicester to Peterborough stretch of the Relay route on Friday 20 April 2012.

The London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) has today begun making conditional offers to the inspiring people chosen to carry the Olympic Flame next summer during the 70-day Olympic Torch Relay.

Lloyds TSB, Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay, today calls on the UK to shine a light on people who have made a difference in their community and inspired and supported disabled people, by nominating them to carry the Paralympic Flame.

With one year to go until the Olympic Flame arrives in the UK, the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) today launches the search for 8,000 Torchbearers to carry the Olympic Flame right across the UK with the start of the LOCOG Moment to Shine public nomination campaign.
