Leicester is set to go table tennis crazy this summer as it gets ready to serve up Ping 2012. For four weeks in July, 58 ping-pong tables will pop up in unexpected locations across Leicester. Aylestone Leisure Centre, Cossington Street Sports Centre and Braunstone Leisure Centre will be among 645 pools across the UK holding swimming events as part of this year's event - a campaign which over the last 25 years has raised millions of pounds for charities including Marie Curie Cancer Care and Sport Relief.

Cycling Sunday returns this week with a choice of professionally guided bike rides with a sporting theme. The three rides, which take place on Sunday (Apr 29), vary in distance and challenge and follow quiet or traffic calmed routes taking in some of Leicester's sporting landmarks. All rides are led by qualified British Cycling ride leaders.
