Leicester City Centre was the focus of Regional celebrations to mark UK Inspire Day on Wednesday 16th May 2012.
Humberstone Gate, Live Site came alive with a variety of activities showcasing elements of the Inspire Mark programme both locally and from across the region.

Leicester is set to go table tennis crazy this summer as it gets ready to serve up Ping 2012. For four weeks in July, 58 ping-pong tables will pop up in unexpected locations across Leicester. All tables will be marked 'Stop and Play', with bats and balls in ample supple, so anyone that wants to try a game of ping-pong can have a go.

SWIMMERS will be making a splash at three Leicester leisure centres this weekend as part of Swimathon 2012.
Aylestone Leisure Centre, Cossington Street Sports Centre and Braunstone Leisure Centre will be among 645 pools across the UK holding swimming events as part of this year's event - a campaign which over the last 25 years has raised millions of pounds for charities including Marie Curie Cancer Care and Sport Relief.
