Latest Sports Volunteering opportunities in Leicester & Leicestershire

Have you ever thought of volunteering in sport but aren't sure how you could help, or what you could do? Over a million people give their time to volunteer in sport each year in the UK. There is a role for everybody, so why don't you give it a try. Volunteering in sport can be a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, gain useful experience and have a bit of fun.

Sports volunteering can mean helping out on a Saturday morning at a local rugby club, designing publicity materials for a cricket club, creating a website for a community sports club or helping to organise a clubs annual tournament. It can also mean being a part of a world-class event such as the London 2012 Olympic Games, helping with local sports events such as the Leicester Marathon or even just setting up a walking group in your local park. Volunteering in Sport really is for everybody.

You don't need to be fit, you don't need to be a top class athlete and you don't even need to wear sports kit! Whatever experience or skills you have, Sport@VAL can help you find a volunteering role that will work for you. Examples of volunteering roles include club treasurer, club secretary, web design, publicity and fundraising, welfare officer, events management, events assistant, coaching, fitness coaching, photographer, marshal, referee, committee member etc. The list really is endless.
