YOUNGSTERS living in Leicester will be able to swim for free during the school holidays again this year.
All seven of the city council's swimming pools will offer free swims for young people aged 16 and under between Monday 30 July and Friday 24 August.
Cllr Piara Singh Clair, Assistant City Mayor responsible for heritage, leisure and sport, said: "Our free swims scheme is very popular across the city. It gives young people an opportunity and added incentive to stay active and healthy during the school holidays.
"With the added inspiration of the London Olympics this year, I'm sure that our free swims will prove more popular than ever."
Timetabled sessions will be open to all young people, aged 16 years or under, who live in the city.
The seven Leicester City Council swimming pools are Aylestone Leisure Centre, Braunstone Leisure Centre, Cossington Street Sports Centre, Evington Leisure Centre, Leicester Leys Leisure Centre, New Parks Leisure Centre and Spence Street Sports Centre.
