People who have registered for free tickets for the Olympic Torch event at Abbey Park on Monday 3rd July are being urged to collect their tickets from their chosen venue.
Almost all of the 20,000 tickets available for the event have now been allocated, but many have not yet been picked up.
Any tickets that have not been claimed by the end of Monday 25th June will go back into the pot for general release on Tuesday 26th June.
Deputy city mayor Cllr Rory Palmer said: "We've had a great response to our free ticket offer. The Abbey Park event will be a great family occasion, and the perfect opportunity to see the torch welcomed into the city.
"Anyone who didn't register for a ticket, or pick up one of those on general release will have another chance next week when any unclaimed tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis at council venues to be announced."
The city council has contacted everyone who has registered for tickets to remind them to collect them by Monday. Anyone who is not able to collect their tickets by then and needs to make other arrangements should email the council's festival's team on festivalstickets@leicester.gov.uk
The council will publish details of how many unclaimed tickets are available, and where to get them from, on its website at www.leicester.gov.uk/olympictorchevent
