Keeping the Olympic Spirit alive- London 2012 Olympians and Games Makers bid for Christmas Number 1

A choir of Games Makers formed during the London 2012 Olympic Games launched their bid for the Christmas No.1 last night at the Royal Festival Hall. The all-volunteer group, who performed at the Olympic Park during the Games, have teamed up with singer songwriter Alistair Griffin to record a new song entitled 'I Wish For You The World'.
£397,000 legacy investment to deliver more sport for disabled people in the East Midlands

Disabled people in the East Midlands will have more opportunities to get involved in sport after Sport England announced that two projects in the region that will benefit from £397,000 of National Lottery funding from its Inclusive Sport fund.
Games Makers join New Year parade

London 2012 volunteers are to take a curtain call with a starring role in the capital's New Year's Day Parade.
There will be 400 Games Makers and performers from the London 2012 opening and closing ceremonies at the central London parade, organisers said.

Sport England & Sainsbury’s launch £1 million Inclusive Sports programme

Sport England have announced how £1 million of National Lottery investment will fund a training programme to ensure the inclusion of disabled people at tens of thousands of community sports clubs. The free training will benefit more than 10,000 coaches, leaders, assistants and parents, helping them develop the skills and confidence to include disabled people in sporting activity.
