This prestigious festival held at DMU, Leicester, features guests and speakers from the arts, media, literature, politics and film.

Dress the World is a collaborative programme of three East Midlands' exhibitions as part of the Stories of the World project for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. The three exhibitions celebrate the global exchanges that have shaped and continue to shape fashion in the East Midlands.

Suits and Saris (New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester) is a major exhibition that visually explores both global and Leicester stories, highlighting the fusions of British and South Asian fashion traditions. Suits and Saris looks at previously unexplored aspects of British Asian fashion worlds, such as the role of East African Asians in Leicester.

Games Time is a spectacular outdoor stage show combining music, dance, video, fireworks and 160 members of the local community.

With a backdrop of giant video projections and music, four teams dressed in amazingly coloured costumes take part in an exciting battle.

On Wednesday 18th April from 11am-3pm, an event is being held for disabled people aged 16 and over at Parklands Leisure Centre in Oadby to mark 100 days to go to the London 2012 Olympics.

England Hockey and the Sports Regen team will be hosting a day of Hockey Taster activities for the whole family to enjoy. Free to attend and open to all.

This campaign aims to break world records and cover 2012km by dribbling a giant hockey ball around a 100m circuit in over 50 towns and cities from April - May.

In keeping with the Olympic theme, the last leg will be completed on the pitch in the Olympic Park.

Celebrate 100 days to go to the Games by attending one of the family fun days at Memorial Playing Fields, Mountsorrel or Queens Park, Loughborough on Saturday 21st April.

World Dance Champions and stars of the hit StreetDance movies, Flawless will launch Let's Dance International Festival on 29th April in Orton Square, Leicester. The event will be supported by Leicester based dance group Addict.

BT's Big Voice Competition gives students across the UK the chance to produce a film around the themes of diversity and inclusion, and the shortlisted films will be shown at the Live Site on 12 May 2012.

Let's Dance International Festival runs from the 12 - 27^th of May and will see 162 artists create 26 events in 10 venues across Leicester. The programme showcases spectacular and diverse high quality dance and includes master classes by top choreographers for emerging dancers and dance enthusiasts. The festival includes three major performances; all regional premières and part of the UK Cultural Olympiad. The programme offers an opportunity to see some of the best work produced nationally and internationally with companies from Jamaica, India and the UK.

As part of the Let's Dance International Festival, Signatures is a showcase of solos and duets by emerging and established artists including: Subhash Viman: Shiva; Chirague Amarchande: HipOlitic; Dwayne Simms: Plan B; Aakash Odedra: Kathak solo; The Maxwell Dance Project: The B-sides; and De Montfort University students.

Leicester City Centre will be the focus of Regional celebrations to mark UK Inspire Day on Wednesday 16^th May 2012.

Humberstone Gate, Live Site will come alive with a variety of activities showcasing elements of the Inspire Mark programme both locally and from across the region.

Join a creative and healthy movement workshop. The workshop will be fun and will include both active and relaxing activities. The workshop is part of Routes, a Dance4 project in partnership with The Leicester Sport Partnership Trust.

The Big Dance School Pledge is a mass participation dance event for schools across the UK and around the world. It will take place at 1pm on 18 May 2012 – the day that the Olympic torch arrives in the UK. Big Dance is about showing lots of different types of Dance in unusual places and this year will be a world record attempt.
